Support Worker - ACT (Part-time)

We are committed to providing high quality and innovative support to people with a disability, older persons and their carers . This is an exciting opportunity to work with an independent, not-for-profit organisation located in Mawson.  This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference.

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Support Workers to join our team to provide community support Home Care Packages.  You will be very well supported in this important, front-line role.

You will have:

  • A strong desire to provide quality client service and the ability to build rapport with clients;
  • Flexibility and the ability to be adaptive
  • Ability to provide assistance with a range of tasks including transport, light housework, meal preparation and personal care (if qualified)
  • A highly professional attitude and able to act in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner
  • Certificate 111 Individual Support /Aged Care preferable or willingness to obtain
  • A current police check less than 3 months old or willingness to undertake one with Annecto
  • A current First Aid (with 6 months to run) and CPR Qualifications (with 3 months to run) or willingness to complete prior to employment
  • A current driver's license and your own transport vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • A smart phone or tablet
  • A current Working with Vulnerable People Card or willingness to obtain one
  • Work rights to work in Australia
  • Fully Covid Immunized including Booster 

It would be great if you had:

  • Similar experience in a similar organisation
  • Ability to speak a community language would be highly regarded
